History of basketball

Dr. James Naismith is known world-wide as the inventor of basketball. The game first involved attempting to knock a "duck" off the top of a large rock by tossing another rock at it. The game was invented in 1891. (John Davis Cantwell, “The boys of winter” Febuary 18 2003) The game has proggressed a lot and is now known as one of America’s most watched sport. There are now many teams and many players to watch and observe. Along with these new players come new skills and new fans. There are many new oppurtunities for fans to become more into the sport. There are some fans who are so much into their teams and players that they will actually travel the world with their team or player just to watch all the games that they play in. You can easily spot fans because they always have props of their favorite teams and players.

We are now reaching close to the finals and Orlando Magic is doing good. We have been winning our games against the top competitors including The Knicks, Miami Heat, and LA Lakers. If we keep up our pace we could end up going all the way and make it too the finals. Dwight Howard has been keeping his record as our top scorer on the Orlando Magic. As you know Orlando Magic is my favorite team and i have supported them since the beginning and I will continue to support them through the good and bad times. I believe that Dwight Howard deserves the MVP award (Most Valuable Player). Dwight Howard and JJ Redick have brought Orlando Magic from bottom to top. Magic have not had such a good season since we had Tracy McGrady.

How to play and understand basketball

You play 5 players against 5 players. The positions for each player is The point guard, The center, The off guard, The power forward, and The small forward. You dribble the ball up and down the court. But you have to make sure you don’t double dribble. Double dribble is when you catch the ball with two hands. and you continue to dribble. Then you try to shoot the ball into the round hoop that sits 10 feet above the ground.

The Magic Today

Right now the Orlando Magic are still in the cut for the semi finals. How ever we are on the edge. I feel that Magic have not been giving it their all. We lost three games in a row. But we won our game against the clippers on Tuesday. I am hoping we can continue to win and go all the way. If we don't make it though it will be okay. I support the Magic whether we win or lose. The game that i cant wait for however is on Sunday. Because we will be playing the LA Lakers at our own court so hopefully it all goes good and we win. Being a big athlete I am always striving for the win. I like to use an old quote which is “Win as if you were used to it, lose as if you enjoyed it for a change.” The Magic have a game tonight (Wednesday) against the Philadelphia Sixers. So support the Orlando Magic!!!

There are lots of things people do not know about The game of basketball or even Orlando Magic. Basketball is a team sport played on a rectangle court. It has millions of fans all over the United States. One of my favorite players is Dwight howard. Dwight howard is 6 foot 11 inches tall. He weighs 265 and his number is 12. He is the top scorer of the Orlando Magic. Another good player is Mike Wilks. Mike Wilks wears No. 29 as a tribute to Milwaukee's 29th Street playground, the court of his youth.  In this sport, the main objective is to score points by placing the basketball in the opponent's basket which is kept at a height of 10 ft. There are 5 five players each, in both the teams. The best Basketball quote in my opinion is “You can practice shooting eight hours a day, but if your technique is wrong, then all you become is very good at shooting the wrong way. Get the fundamentals down and the level of everything you do will rise.” By Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan was the BEST player ever to live in the NBA. He is pretty much the god of the NBA.

Orlando Magic Basketball

Hello, Thankyou for reading my blog. My blog is about the NBA team called the orlando magic. I have been a fan of the Magic since I was a little kid. I have been a fan of them through their good times and hardships. We were doing good at the beginning of this season but lately we have been losing our games. I will continue to support the Magic until my last breath because I do not like the people who switch teams to the team that is winning the most games. Those people are band wagoners. I have been called a band wagoner but fact is fact I love the Oralando Magic. I have a lot of accessories in my house that support Orlando Magic. So what are your thoughts? Do you support the Magic? If not what is your favorite team?
